What Happened at the Time of Partition

What happened at the time of partition..!!!

Partition” – the division of British India into the two separate conditions of India and Pakistan on August 14-15, 1947 – was the “latest possible time” component by which the British could anchor understanding over how autonomy would happen. At the time, few individuals comprehended what Partition would involve or what its outcomes would be, and the relocation on the tremendous scale that took after took most by far of counterparts unsuspecting.

14th August, 1947, the historic day when Pakistan appeared on the map of the world as an Independent Islamic state. Before that, the India and Pakistan were together known as the subcontinent. For many centuries Muslims and Hindus lived together but it was the 19th century when the British people came to subcontinent for trade and became it’s rulers. It was a very difficult time specially for Muslims.

It was the time when Muslim scholars thought about having a separate independent state for Muslims only. It was a very noble idea yet the most difficult task. There were many scholars and other personalities who proposed the idea of a separate state for Muslims but Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was the one who openly gave the idea of another state for Muslims after the Hindi-Urdu controversy.

In 1930, Allama Iqbal gave the idea that those areas of the subcontinent in which Muslims are present in majority should be combined to create an Independent Islamic state for the Muslims of the subcontinent. In 1940, the famous Lahore resolution was passed in favour of creation of Pakistan. By the hard work of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his companions, and the sacrifice of millions of Muslims, the Muslims of the subcontinent were finally able to have their own country in which they could live a life according to the teachings of Islam and could breath in an Independent country.

But the time of Partition was never easy. This is the largest migration in the history of subcontinent where 60 lac people migrated from India to Pakistan. It is a story written with blood on the books of history. Millions of people were killed in this time. Thousands of families had to abandon their houses and living areas and move to the newly founded state, Pakistan. The Hindus and Sikhs killed many Muslim openly. They used to invade in their houses openly and loot all the money and kill the members of family. Muslim women were not saved from their wrath. Thousands of Muslim women were killed by Sikhs and an even greater number killed their own self to save themselves from the wrath of those people.

Little children were assassinated in front of their parents. Many parents lost their children, millions of children lost their parents, families were killed, people were separated from their families. But all this happened for the noble cause; the separate Muslim state and the Muslims faced all these hurdles just to give their next generation an Independent Islamic state. Partition was no doubt the most difficult part in the whole story of creation of Pakistan.
