Introduction:
Islamabad: Applications are invited from outstanding Pakistani/AJK nationals for the award of scholarship for PhD studies in Pakistani HEC recognized Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes. The scholarship is offered for the academic year 2013-14 in all areas of Studies/Discipline under the project title Indigenous PhD fellowship for 5000 scholars- Phase-II
Eligibility Criteria:
Pakistani/AJK National.
Candidate must have minimum 16 years of education with no 3rd division or Grade D in degree/ certificate of entire academic career.
Maximum age at the closing date of application i.e. August 31st, 2013. a. 40 years for full time regular faculty members of public sector university/DAIs and employees of the public sector/R & D organizations. b. 35 years for all others.
The candidates who are already availing any other HEC scholarship are NOT eligible to apply.
Candidates who have valid GAT-General tests conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) and obtained minimum 50 (Accumulative Score) to become eligible to apply for scholarships.
Important Notice for candidates before applying:
GAT General is required for all applicants in any case.
Scholarships will be awarded discipline wise and as per Federal Government Provincial Quota policy approved by the Government of Pakistan.
Those who will be selected should be full-time student to avail the scholarship. Selected employed candidates have to arrange study leave for the full duration of their study program.
Students will be entitled for HEC scholarship to study in those departments of Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes who have adopted HEC ???Quality Assurance Criteria to run MS/MPhil/PhD program???.
HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without assigning any reason. ??? Incomplete or applications received after due date will not be entertained.
